Misadventures in Collecting I
Anyone who has ever been to a thrift store can tell you (be it Goodwill, Saves, Value Village, etc), while you can find some pretty neat stuff, you usually have to wade though some questionable items to find something nice. Maybe not "needle in a haystack" scenario all of the time, but sometimes you hit a dry spell and it sure as hell feels like it. Anyway, I won't bore you with broken lamps and ugly furniture but he's some things that I have picked up along the way that have certainly seen their better days.
First up is this dirty Super Nintendo that I rescued from Goodwill a few years back, as you can tell from the price sticker. Despite how awfully yellowed and dirty the case was, I couldn't leave it there lonely on the goodwill shelf. Interestingly enough it works a lot better than a few other pristine Super Nintendos that I own/have come across along the way. Eventually I'll paint it or recase it into something else (PAL SNES case?) but it's fine for now.

Blogs are still cool right?
Right so here's a blog where I might eventually post some things ranging from console mods and hacks to general collecting information/excitement/nonsense.
